Paulank Brockagh
Paulank Brockagh, by Touchdown, is one of the most successful eventing Irish sport horses mares of all time. She was first campaigned at home with us where she started her career with Joseph Murphy, followed by Susan Mcdonald and Darryl Walker who won best rider under 25 at the FEHL finals where Brocks was the highest placed mare. Her international career started with Heidi Hamilton who was placed 3rd in her first CIC1*. As a 7 year old she joined Sam Griffiths yard in Dorset where she was extremely lucky to find the well known Posford family who bought and campaigned her for the following 10 years.
Her international career began with Sam at Le Lion d’Angers under the Australian flag, where she was placed eighth in the 7-year old class. She went on to compete at Badminton six times, famously winning one of the most gruelling tests ever in 2014 before placing 10th the following year.
‘Brocks’ was a member of the Australian team at the Rio Olympics in 2016, again ridden by Sam Griffiths, where the team took Bronze. In the Individual event, Brocks and Sam finished 4th, missing out on a Bronze medal by 1.3 penalty points.
